Biography

Emily Mendell is the Vice President of Communications for Polaris Partners. She joined Polaris in 2013 to lead the marketing and communications strategy for the firm and support the efforts of our 100+ portfolio of companies.

Before joining Polaris, Emily was responsible for the strategic communications, public relations and brand management at the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), which today represents more than 400 VC firms across the country in the areas of public policy, research, education and best practices.

Prior to her work at the NVCA, Emily was a managing principal at The Weiser Group, a New York-based financial public relations firm where her clients spanned the technology, healthcare, and financial services industries. She previously was the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications at Integrion Financial Network, a consortium of 18 banks, IBM and Visa formed to develop the first large scale home banking platform. Emily has also held management positions at CoreStates Financial Corp including Vice President of Strategic Business Development within the transaction processing division.

Emily is a cum laude graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Management.
